Foothills Flat Deck & Mofeett Ltd is a Calgary-based flat deck and Moffett hauling company. We're not a broker — we're the people behind the wheel. Michael runs the operation personally, and that owner-operated approach is exactly what our customers come back for.

What sets us apart is the Moffett — our truck-mounted forklift. It means we can place your delivery exactly where you need it: your backyard, your garage, tight job sites. No forklift on your end required. Customers tell us we do the work of two or three other trucks.

What areas do you service?
We're based in Calgary and primarily serve the city and surrounding communities — Okotoks, Airdrie, Cochrane, High River, Strathmore, Chestermere, Crossfield, and the broader Foothills and Rocky View county areas. If you're not sure whether we cover your location, just give us a call and we'll tell you straight.
What types of loads can you haul?
Our 53-foot flat deck handles lumber, steel, pipe, construction materials, modular components, and equipment (mini excavators, skid steers, compactors, farm equipment, etc.). Our pickup dump truck handles smaller aggregate and material loads. If you're not sure, just describe what you've got and we'll let you know.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. We carry full commercial liability insurance and cargo coverage on every load. All operators are WCB-covered. We can provide insurance certificates on request — just ask.
How far in advance do I need to book?
It depends on what we've got going on. As much notice as possible is always helpful, but we understand that job sites don't always run on a perfect schedule. If something comes up, call us — we'll tell you honestly whether we can accommodate it or not.
How do you secure loads?
We follow NSC (National Safety Code) load securement standards. That means proper strapping, chains, and dunnage appropriate to the load type. We don't skip steps. If a load isn't secured properly, it doesn't move — that's just how it works with us.
